Jiangdu Pumping Station Project,the starting point of the East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project and the North-to-East Water Transfer Project of Jiangsu Province, is located in Jiangdu District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China. The project is composed of four large-scale electric power pumping stations, five large-scale sluices, seven medium-sized sluices, three ship locks, two culverts, two fishways, power transmission and transformation projects and diversion and drainage channels. It is a large-scale water conservancy project with comprehensive functions of irrigation, drainage, flood discharge, navigation, power generation and improvement of ecological environment. Four of the pumping stations are equipped with 33 sets of large vertical axial-flow pumping units with a installed capacity of 55800 kW and a maximum pumping capacity of 508 cubic meters per second. They are the largest power drainage and irrigation project in China.
2.滁州实验基地—— Chouzhou Experiment Station
Chuzhou Experimental Station is the state-level anti-flood rescue experimental site, with the total area of over 53000m2. Based on the principles of stereoscopic information observation, automatic data acquisition, sophisticated analytical simulation and all-day operation, Chuzhou Experimental has carried out plenty of experimental research on basic theories of hydrology and water resources, such as the hydrological processes,pollutant migration process, soil and water conservation, water environment and water ecological restoration, efficient utilization of water resources. It is the only important hydrological experimental station in China at present. It is also the experimental base for flood control and drought relief of the General Command of the State. There are hydro-mountain experimental area, South Dawa experimental area and comprehensive hydro-meteorological observation field.
